Croatia Cultural and natural sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List

There are numerous castles, and cultural and historical monuments in Croatia. The most famous are:

Diocletian’s Palace (Dioklecijanova palača) in Split, the Old Town of Trogir, Euphrasius’ Basilica (Eufrazijeva bazilika) in Poreč, Šibenik Cathedral, the City of Dubrovnik, the Stari Grad Range on Hvar – all listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.

The Plitvice Lakes, the most beautiful and most famous national park in Croatia, is our only site of natural heritage included in the prestigious UNESCO list.
